Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how TextMyLink LLC, the company that owns and operates Etzly (“TextMyLink,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the Etzly mobile application, visit the Etzly website, or contact support.

2. Information stored by the app

The current Etzly app does not require an account. Content you create—including tree and branch titles, note text, quick notes, task or reminder details when those features are available, and app preferences—is stored locally on your device.

Etzly does not currently operate a backend that receives or syncs this app content. Your device operating system may include app data in a device backup depending on your backup settings. Those backups are controlled by you and your platform provider, not by Etzly.

3. Device features and permissions

• Spotlight search: On supported Apple devices, Etzly may place branch titles, note text, tree names, and branch paths in Apple’s on-device Spotlight index so you can find and open your content from system search.
• Notifications: If a version of Etzly offers reminders and you choose to use them, Etzly may ask for notification permission and schedule local notifications on your device. The current app does not obtain a push token to send your note content to an Etzly server.

You can change notification permissions in your device settings. Apple controls Spotlight and device backup behavior under its own terms and privacy practices.

4. Information we may receive

We may receive limited information in these situations:

• Support: If you email us, we receive your email address and anything you choose to include, such as a message, screenshot, or diagnostic information.
• Website delivery: Our website hosting provider may process standard technical information, such as IP address, browser type, device type, requested page, and timestamp, to deliver and protect the website.
• Platform reports: Apple or another app marketplace may provide us with aggregated sales, download, or diagnostic information according to your platform settings and that provider’s policies.

The current Etzly app does not include third-party advertising or behavioral analytics SDKs, and we do not sell or rent personal information.

5. How information is used and shared

We use information we receive to respond to support requests, troubleshoot problems, protect the website and app, understand broad product performance, and comply with legal obligations. We share information only with service providers that help us operate these functions, when you direct us to do so, or when required to protect rights, safety, or comply with law.

Service providers are expected to protect information and use it only to provide services to us. They may process information in countries other than where you live.

6. Retention and deletion

App content remains on your device until you delete it using Etzly’s available controls, remove the app, or erase the relevant device or backup. Because Etzly does not currently receive your app content on an Etzly server, we generally cannot access, recover, or delete that local content for you.

We retain support communications only as long as reasonably necessary to answer your request, maintain records, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Hosting and marketplace providers set their own retention periods for information they process.

7. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards for information under our control. No device, storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, backups, and any sensitive content you choose to store in Etzly.

8. Children’s privacy

Etzly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

9. Future features and policy changes

Etzly may add optional accounts, sync, sharing, or other connected features in the future. Before using new categories of personal information, we will update this policy and provide any notice or consent required by applicable law.

We may update this policy from time to time. The revised version will be posted here with a new effective date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate channel.
